Stage 1:

a. WARM-UP: A sentence for editing check/practice (MUG shot #2) & review

Stage 2:

a. We will continue to explore the revision process through Group Advising. I will introduce students to the concept of group advising and what it entails

b. As a class, we will create guidelines for group advising - how should we work together as a group? What sort of suggestions are most effective for group advising?

c. I will give students a Student Response Sheet (see Write Source 2000 Handbook, p. 78) and will give students an editing buddy with whom to edit their work.

Stage 3:

a. Group (pair/3-4) advising, teacher informal conferencing

b. Debriefing of peer editing activity
