Group Power Point Presentation
I've made Pat's corrections and added the rest of the content posted.
We're down to 80 slides...
I've posted the latest PP revision "rev5" below which includes all revisions in rev4 plus LDs new organization charts.
I found great links to the Leadership Academy PBS videos...included in PP...these require Real Player. Not a sure bet to work...perhaps if one of us gets there early. Christian also added some stuff about the academy if the videos don't work.
Please review and post revisions...note changes in comments section below.
Here are the LA links, if you want to preview:

Hi, All,
I've attached the management PP slides to this site. Hope they're helpful.

power point rev 6
Hi, Andrew,
Thought you'd be rid of us, right?!
Could you post the PP rev 6? I'd like to print it and us it this weekend because it'll hep me organize my plans for my paper.Â
Thanks very much, LD
LD: Send me your LA slides again.
LD,
The final with your slides is mysteriously gone from my machine. I think it "saved" to the CD but not my hard drive...but neither, actually.
Send me your Leadership Academy slides and I'll insert them and put up the final revision.
Rev6, above, is missing this section.
Cheers,
Andrew
Recentering Pend.
Just to verify--only 1 case study. Is this as planned?
management turnaround case study 2 power point
Andrew, Yet more last minute add ons. I've tried to add our case study to your fantastic  power point but was unable to do so. I've figured out the slide layout you used and am creating slides for it instead. I'm going to add the text for the slide under the planning the presentation section of this site just in case you're a faster power point creator than I am! Thanks, LDÂ
LD: I'm not seeing your "case study"
LD,
I'm not seeing anything new regarding case studies posted on "Planning the Presentation" ...am I missing something?
Andrew
7a case study #1
Andrew,
Just looked again, the information is under 8B case study #1. Also, Christian just told me under the power point she's responsible for the redistributing resources case study one and she says she's case study 2. Thoughts? LD
Christian's question
Added new EZ org chart
I've included the latest org charts and case studies, however my school's firewall is not letting me upload the file...rev6
Please let me know if any of you intend to make any more changes before showtime. I'll bring the PP on CD.
Andrew
all set
Sounds great, Andrew. I will see everyone at class.
ToddÂ
last change finished
Thanks for your patience, Andrew,
I've added our case studie #2 to the management turnaround (leadership academy). That's everything. I'm still trying to make it into a power point but I'm slooooow. Promise, no more add ons.Â
empowerment slide
Hi, Andrew,
The power point is fabulous. Thanks again for all the hard work. I've made a power point slide that better represents the empowerment schools' organization. I tried to add it to your power point but it didn't work. I will add it as an attachment under the flowchart section of the 7 sectors in case you're able to add it. LD
flow charts
Hi, All,
I had attached a newer versions of the 1997/97 BOE flow chart that included the 32 community school districts on Sunday. Is it possible to use that on a power point slide instead of the one that's currently posted? If not, no problem, I'll just talk about it. Also, I don't have internet at home so I was working the old fashioned way last night and came up with a more effective empowerment school flow chart. I'm going to attach it to the other flowcharts in that section. Andrew, you've done a monumental job. Thanks from all of us! If you can insert the new empowerment flow chart as a power point instead of the one posted, that'd be great. If not, I'll talk about it. No worries. Thanks, LD
final touches
Andrew-
The PowerPoint is tremendous! Really great work.Â
Do not worry about photocopying the TOA chart. I will take care of it. I am also bringing a list of the group members' emails to distribute to the class for the feedback- I just used our Baruch accounts for the sake of simplicity.
Group members- do we want to just go with the PowerPoint as is, or make last minute revisions to scale back the slides?  Leslie- there still seems to be a lot of listed info that belongs in your notes but not necessary on the slides. Ed- amazing info, but it doesn't seem like you will do justice to the content- any chance we could scale back 1 or 2 charts? If, as a consensus, we just want to leave things as is, then so be it. But if the group thinks we should try to still revise then I can put in a little time today from 3-4, but then I will be in transit until class.
Looking forward to tonight at 8:45! Â
Todd
Slide # 1 with the title and all of our names
... seems to be missing from version 3,4 and 5. Can that one be reinstated?
Pat
Minor corrections to correct if possible
I have not had a moment to view the 4th revision, but noticed in the third revision that a correction is needed in one of the last slides, in Conclusion "Michael Bloomberg"Â should read, "Build strong public consensus for reforms to ensure they are continued ."
Also, the slide in Christian's case study on Giulliani's voucher proposal "Management Turnaround Privatization" says $12 (should add "million" for 3,000 students.
Andrew did an unbelievable job on the Power Point!
 Yes.... 8:45!

I'm down to 18 slides for
I'm down to 18 slides for the demographics.
My presentation will go something like this:
"I'm giving an overview of key statistics so when they are mentioned in the presentation, you have an idea of what we are talking about.....
When we talk about NYC, we are talking about a huge population....
When we talk about NYC public schools, we are talking about.....
When we talk about test scores, we are talking about NYS 4 & 8 grade exams....for example......
When we talk about graduation and dropouts, we are talking about....
When we talk about funding, part of what we are talking about is this...
When we talk about class size, we are talking about this...
I cant' see this going over 10 mins. It's a quick overview.
However, as always...give me the feedback...and thanks for what I've gotten so far.
And thanks to everyone for the hard work!!
I'll revise it. Â
I'll revise it.
Corrections
Slide 13: Last bullet should say "UFT... one of the nation's..."
I believe there is far too much detail in the early history section. Unless it is directly tied to the TOA of the time period, I feel it needs to be trimmed!
Slide 16: Should read NY State legislature (which refers to the two house body of gevernment) replaces ..."

Correction on Slide 9
John LINDSAY is spelled with an A not an E.
There were 32 ???school districts not 30. Is that not true?
Pat
Todd Newby is missing from the PP first slide!
Add Todd's name to the presenters on slide 1!
