Overview for Drama_VU Team
In 2006, a group of second-year Drama students had an idea to gather together our shared resources. We agreed that it should be something created by the class, not by our lecturer, (though he would be happy to contribute and also guide us in filling in any gaps). Some of our classmates turned their nose up at the idea of more work, but some of us recognised that any work relating to placement (for example lesson plans for drama) gets included in the portfolio which is a considerable part of the assessment for our core subjects.
We could all contribute something, as we all have different strengths etc. For example, some have already made some theory notes that could be included. We are a very diverse group, with different experience, backgrounds and interests. (Just off the top of my head, some examples - singing, stage, gymnastics, early childhood, theatre sports, productions at school and elsewhere, eisteddfods, drama classes in and out of school, circus, popular culture, travel, ballet, dance etc. Wow, what a weird bunch we are!)
We decided to create this collection online, allowing us add to it very easily over the rest of our course. We could also link to the VELS and VCAA documents, and other resources such as Drama Vic. From this idea, we created the Drama_VU blog. Moving to Open Planner is a progression of this.

Some ideas for resources - lesson plans, games and activities, reviews of theatre you have seen, any theory notes relating to our work, links to other resources, book reviews relating to Drama teaching.
