Columbia Secondary School - Creative Arts Program

This is the team home page for the Creative Arts curriculum review process being used by the planning team for the Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science, and Engineering, a new school slated to open in upper Manhattan in 2007. Membership in this group must be approved by the group manager. Only members of this team may create or edit the pages below.

Team members are under the leadership of founding principal Jose Maldonado, PhD. and are using an agreed upon and transparent protocol to assess and design curriculum for the 6th grade. (see overview)

Important Dates:

1. Feb - March 30 - Initial research and meetings (all in Open Planner)
   
2. April - PT meeting and sharing
   
3. April 30 - Public presentation and discussion of proposed curriculum
4. May 1 - Review of public response and input - Final adoption decision
5. May 15 - Course titles - course descriptions
6. May 30 - Insert into webpage, prepare Academic catalog and Student Handbook.
