Stage 1:
Investigating Paper Falling Through Air: Independent Practice, p. 42. Allow time for students to share the results from their own experiments. Encourage discussion of these questions: Did each group conduct a fair test? Did each group arrive at the same conclusion?

Stage 2:
Portfolio, ATE p. 42. Prepare a class data chart using all of the students’ results from the experiments that they designed. Suggest that students record both the class data and their own results in their Portfolio. Students can then evaluate how their own results compare with the class results.
