Stage 1: Getting Started: Write the headings: Dea, living, nonliving on the board. have student name items in the class room that would fall under each heading. then ask them how they know whether an object is living, was once alive, or was never alive. |

Stage 2: Have students read pg. 63 at home or on class. |
|
|
Stage 3: Follow-up: have students look over magazines of animals, plants, and inanimate objects. Have them classify the pictures as non-living, living and dea and make a collage of these images. |
