Stage 1: Ask students to describe the symptons of am illness. Then involve the whole class in a brief discussion of what causes people to become ill. Help students arrive at the primary cause of disease, accepting sich terms as bugs, viruses, germs. Explain that in this unit we will begin to understand and redefine the terms above.
