2.7.08: Character "mind mirror"
Book Group Creative Project #1: Mind Mirror
DIRECTIONS: To begin outline the shape of a head onto large chart paper. Use the following guidelines to creatively fill in your character's "mind" in order to represent the main character from your novel.
Objective: To get into the “mind” of a character and create a visual “mirror” that expresses their inner thinking.
Your mind mirror must include the following:
c one symbol that represents the character (these should be something you create - similar to how a symbol is used on a flag or crest, rather than a hatchet to represent Bryan).
c one quote from the character or text that reveals something about their character motives
c one quote from the character or text that reveals something about their character traits
c two words that describe the character
c three original sentences about:
(1) How the character is in conflict with nature
(2) How the character is in agreement with nature
(3) How the character changes as a result of interacting with nature
