STAR (StudenT AmbassadoR) Program

STAR students selected from Harlem/Morningside schools will participate in a 2-week summer youth leadership summit during which they will create engineering-focused action plans for positive environmental change in the community and world.  STARs will work together to develop their projects with close mentoring from Columbia University engineering students and community organzations dedicated to environmental activism. During the school year, students will continue their STAR work through the implementation of their action plan projects, with the potential of involving the greater school community of your individual school.
