Learning objectives: Students will communicate in Spanish to describe themselves using verbs like gustar, ser and estar, and the vocabulary learned in the 6th Grade Spanish course.
Students will learn the content of the 7th Grade Spanish Class (units of study, grading system, and classroom rules.

Key Questions, Concepts, or Themes: Describe yourself as a student/person? What do you like to learn in the 7th Grade Spanish course? What are your favorite activities or hobbies?

Stage 1: I will introduce myself in the target language and ask them questions such as Como te llamas?, que te gusta hacer?, como eres tu, etc? to review their Spanish speaking abilities. The questions will be written also on the board. |

Stage 2: Course Sillabus, units of study and grading system will be introduced to the students. Then, students will have the opportunity to ask questions about it.

Stage 3: I will explain the classroom rules to the students. |

Homework: Write a 200 words composition in which you answer the following questions: Why is important for you to learn a second language? Mention 3 learning goals you would like to achieve at the end of the Spanish course. What kind of classroom or outdoor activities would you like to do during the 7th Grade Spanish course? (Mention a minimum of 5 activies). |
