Tips for PowerPoint Presentations:
- Think of your audience:
- Avoid typing long paragraphs on your slides. Use the Speaker Notes as a place to put details.
- Use bulleted lists that highlight your main points for the slide.
- Pictures should re-enforce your ideas, not distract from them.
- If you have long lists, split them into two slides. This avoids "cluttering" the slides and makes sure the font will be large enough to read.
- Use Spell Checking
- Pay attention to contrast between the font color and the background (avoid using pictures as background)
- Coordinate with your group memebers before presenting.
- Practice what you will say and know all of the slides (what if someone is sick the day of the presentation?!?)
- Speak loudly, clearly, and to the audience.
- Be professional - don't take attention away from your teammates when they are presenting.

Additional Tip: The Rule of 666
The Rule of 666:
The suggestions that you made for a presentation are some of the most consise that I have seen. The Rule of 666 given here is one that I have found that makes one consider what is written. Also, it helps insure the font size is adequately large. Speaker notes are for the details, the slide is a guide for the audience.
