David Wees

David has been involved since Open Educator's inception, and is a rapidly developing web designer. He currently teaches mathematics and physics in a posh secondary school in London. Prior to his current job, he spent three years in the NYC public schools teaching high-needs Brooklyn kids how to pass the State examination in mathematics. During his last year as a teacher in the US, he received a 'Teacher of the Year' award from the students of the school, and a 'Best Mathematics Teacher' award from his department. His current focus outside of school is on developing his ability to create resources for teaching mathematics that are available online. He has a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
